Silver Medallion IRB Driver Course @ NC Autumn/Winter 2023

It's always great to have active members gain higher awards on the powercraft team!

 

The IRB Silver Medallion IRB Driver course will be run across Easter and 4-5 weekends (TBA), finishing with a practical assessment.

You will need to attend ALL sessions. 

 

You will also be required to complete the e-Learning assessment accessed online via your individual login to the SLSA member portal

In the SLS Member Area document library you will find the course learner guide, syllabus and assessment portfolio.  We will provide to you hard copies of the  manual and assessment portfolio when you commence the course.

What you'll need to bring/wear:

• Theory sessions - in motor maintenance. For this session you will need clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
• Beach sessions -  We will provide PFD and helmets as needed. For these sessions we recommend you wear PPE appropriate for the conditions and aquatic activity (wetsuit, thermal rashie, windproof spray, sunscreen, secure hat). 
• Keep fuelled BYO snacks and water

Prerequisites:

• Active Member (17+ years)
• Proficient Bronze Medallion and IRB Crew Certificate
• WA Recreational Skippers Ticket (Courses can be arranged by SLSWA free of charge)
• Working with Children's Check

Prior to the course we will check your SLSA SURFGUARD and NC Member record is up to date.

 

Powercraft roles are physically demanding and require you to have a sound understanding of the aquatic environment and to be able to read the prevailing conditions.

 

Please inform us in the Medical field below if you have any conditions including physical injuries and past-surgeries.
